At Prabhat Prakashan, we are committed to publishing world’s best
literature in Hindi and enriching the popular culture. We are the first Indian
publisher to bring out Hindi translations of various Russian classics including

Our biggest publishing initiatives in Hindi include the works of Nobel Laureates
and reputed authors like V. S. Naipaul, Rabindra Nath Tagore, Pearl S. Buck,

In 1995, we launched Sahitya Amrit, a literary monthly in Hindi with a
mission to promote new writers and popularise the Rajbhasha across the country,
the concept was mooted by the then President of India, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma.
In spite of our landmark success in Hindi publishing, we do not rest on our
laurels and constantly endeavour to set new standards in multilingual
publishing. |

The signature Ocean Books imprint was founded in 1997 to broaden our

To further explore new channels of growth, we set up Ocean Media Pvt. Ltd., an
electronic media division under the Ocean Books banner in 2007. With the

relevant products to educational institutions.

Defence and Security Alert (DSA)

In a bid to diversify further and carve a niche in print media, Ocean Media
Pvt. Ltd. has successfully launched Defence and Security Alert (DSA),
an English monthly registered with the Registrar of Newspapers for India (RNI)
in October 2009.
Team DSA is headed by Mr. Manvendra Singh, noted
journalist-columnist and a former Member of the Indian Parliament. Supported by
thought leaders and professionals across the globe, the new publication will
disseminate critical information, enhance mass awareness and provide an
integrated platform for defence and security-related issues. |
