RE-DEFINITION OF FOREIGN POLICIES

The future of India-China relations will now largely depend on how both countries redefine their shared goals and find common ground to mitigate the emerging security challenges. India needs to re-evaluate its foreign policies to counter Chinese aggression in the Indo-Pacific, while China needs to stop readjusting the status quo unilaterally and respect the treaties signed in the past. Given the security and trade repercussions, the only choice for India and China is to reconcile through talks and diplomacy. Provocative or military action cannot be an option as both countries have much to lose.
