Germany’s Envoy to India Ambassador Philip Ackermann asserted recently that for Germany, the India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is a game changer, which will funnel more investments into India. Last month, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen visited India for dialogue with Prime Minister Narendra Modi where the two leaders agreed to finalise the FTA by the end of 2025.

India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a first-of-its-kind Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Civil Nuclear Cooperation on 9 September, 2024 in the presence of visiting Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled Al Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The deal was signed between the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) and the ENEC (Emirates Nuclear Energy Company)-led Barakah Nuclear Power Plant Operations and Maintenance.
